Last Day in Melbourne

By on March 20, 2016

**Note: We couldn’t upload anymore images from Australia because I forgot we hadn’t posted, and I transferred them to the cloud. Too long to re-download with the kinds of connections we’ve been getting.

Having so much to do in Melbourne, during our last day we tried to soak up as much of the culture as we could. Again, we walked all over town, this time down to the beach before heading northwest toward downtown to see some street art. Melbourne is known for being the sports hub of Australia, featuring the many sports home to Australia as well as other sports that are played worldwide. One of which being the wind surfing on St. Kilda beach.

After a 9 km walk to get to the water, we sat on St. Kilda beach and watched the 25+ wind surfers, surfing in the bay for hours. We had our blanket spread out up on the grassy hillside and we continued to watch the surfers while taking naps on and off in the ocean breeze.

One of the last must haves on our list that was possible to achieve on our last day was a visit to Hosier Lane. Located in downtown Melbourne, Hosier Lane is a small alley covered in graffiti street art. Taking influence from Banksy and other artists, the graffiti was everywhere, even covering the trash cans.

But here are some images we still had left on our phone :)
