Bondi Beach

By on February 20, 2016

After our leftover pizza breakfast we booked our next stay at Mad Monkey’s Backpackers, and boy were there some “mad monkeys”. Not really, but everyone was really young, maybe 18-22 and ready to party! We got our room, dropped off our gear and headed off on the tram, to the all famous Bondi Beach.

Bondi was wonderful, beautiful water, park, waves, everything was just beautiful. We took in the sights and watched groups of people do tai chi and others workout. We watched the gorgeous waves roll in and crash against the rocks. We grabbed some lunch at lamb’s cafe, which was amazing! Jordan ordered the fish and chips (can’t remember the type of fish, but NOT cod), which was great and I ordered a pumpkin, avocado sandwich, which was miraculous! No, I’m not vegetarian, but I do enjoy vegetable based meals most of the time and boy do they make it easy to be vegetarian around here! There are veggie restaurants everywhere, and its always fresh food!

After bumming it at the beach, we headed back toward the tram station where the mall was and checked it out. The mall here is 6 stories! but different from our malls. Here everything is in the mall, doctors offices, target, dental offices, its an all-in-one stop.

Finally exhausted from the sun and walking around at the mall we headed back to the Mad Monkey, making a stop at the grocery store to grab some food for dinner. We made some dinner in the provided kitchen and took our first shower in Australia.

Looks beyond gorgeous! I hope y’all are having the time of your life. I’m sure it’s so different than America.
& I love the fact that they don’t have any chain resturants there either. When we went to Europe I noticed how small their napkins and cups were too. We Americans just oversize EVERYTHING!

PS – you did a great job on the site. I love it!
